Appointments
Appointments System
All Consultations are booked by Appointment
We work on two sites and therefore if you do require an appointment with a doctor or nurse we would expect you to travel to either surgery to receive medical care.
At times of high demand, it is not always possible to see the doctor of your choice. On these occasions, please be prepared to see any available doctor. The doctor will usually only be able to deal with one problem during the time scheduled for each appointment. If you have more than one problem to discuss please ask for a double appointment when booking.
Telephone Consultations
The doctors are happy to provide medical advice over the telephone when a face-to-face appointment may not be necessary for example medication reviews and to discuss test results. To book in for a routine telephone appointment please contact the surgery please not these are not normally offered on the same day.
Practice Nurse & HCA Appointments
Appointments can be booked up to 4-6 weeks in advance. Appointment times may vary. If you are unable to attend then please let us know so we can offer the appointment to someone else.
Teaching and Training
The practice is actively committed to training. There will be occasions when the doctor and nurses have a student in with them during consultations. Please state if you would rather see the doctor or nurse without the student present.

Home Visits
Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 10:30. Requests for visits made after 11:00 should be for genuine emergencies only.
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
