The Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulates all health and adult social care services in England and they make sure that essential standards of quality and safety are being met. CQC checks and monitors these services and has a wide range of enforcement powers to take action on behalf of people where it finds these services to be unacceptably poor.
From April 2013, all GP surgeries have to be registered with CQC and we have registered with them.
